10 Reasons why Yogi is smarter than the average bear.

This summer, the wife and I wanted to get the kids out in the RV and decided to take a chance with the YOGI Bear, branded experience in Colorado, after all, we’d recently seen the movie and I wondered how a branded cartoon character could effect the experience of the RV park seeing how my brother used to go there pretty often as a kid when it a non branded experience.

Read Below to see the impact that the new ownership and the franchised brand team had:

1) Clean Bathrooms:

We took showers, used the bathrooms several times and found every visit to be clean and ready for business. I’m sure you’re like us and find that family places with dirty bathrooms are really not preferred. Maybe when you’r single and backpacking it through the urban jungles of the world, an unkept toilet is doable, however, our desire to keep the kids safe from germs etc makes us score Yogi as a good camper when it comes to healthy restrooms.

2) Fishing Pond

None of us our great fishermen/women so when our five year old wanted to catch something, we cruised on over to the fishin hole and cast in. Everyone had a great time.

3) Dog Run

We brought our pups on this trip, and like that Jellystone had a place for them to party with other canines while we sat on the swing and watched the sun come up.

4) Swimming Pool

B0o Boo and Yogi really know how to take the edge off the summer heat. The pool was nice and cold and the kids loved it. I think we saw one family there every time we went back as if they never left! Like the picture shows, it was clean and well kept!

5) Playground

As if the entire place wasn’t already a giant playground, this place had….A GIANT PLAYGROUND! Kids from all over the place came and chased each other into the wee hours of the night here. Daytime and Night Time entertainment!

6) Free Wheeling

We’re pretty sure this is how Yogi and Boo Boo get away with the picnic baskets. These are free to ride and there is a nice little race track to boot!

7) Baby Goats

Every day, a heard of baby goats is lead by property owner Ian, who leads families on a light hike through the forest while telling them about the local property and educating kids about goats and goat herding. This experience is rediculously awesome…our kids found themselves adopting a particular goat for the whole week and watching the clock to go back. These little animals are cute, cuddly and so accessible that this alone is probably why we’ll go back next summer!

8 ) Dinosaur Dig

If fishing, swimming and running with a heard of animals isn’t enough, you can walk right up to the Dinosaur Dig area and find fossils, treasures and get covered in as much water and mud as you can handle!

9) Theater

This just proves that girls are smarter than boys! Cindy has converted an old railroad car into a tiny movie theater that is a cute as it is entertaining. After a long day of campfires, TPs, Cookouts, and family fun, you can curl up to a nice movie before hitting the hay.

10) Free Wi-Fi:

Most good RV, restaurants, and public places have a version of this, and it was nice to see that Yogi was up to speed with the latest technologies, offering multiple hubs, free everywhere so that when sitting at the pool, or watching a movie with the kids in the theater, we could be posting the experiences to Facebook or following up on that last office email.

Finally,

To be fair, we didn’t list all of the cool stuff going on at this place. There were also family bonfires, cookouts, games, golf carts, archery, frisbee tennis and the list goes on. It’s really not enough to spend a single week at JellyStone. We’ll have to go back.

PS. All of this review was non-solicited. We just really wanted families to know that it’s out there!
